Obit final celebration party. 16/02/2005 Atrium Viladecans-Barcelona
Posted by Hello

Yesterday night, absolutely by surprise I received an invitation from my friend Joana to go to Viladecans (a town near Barcelona) to see the last show by La Fura Dels Baus, OBIT ...a violent, cathartic experience of fight, survival and celebration...a huge playground of intense emotions...it was nice...and if you've never experienced a show from La Fura this is your chance...just wear comfortable and old clothes and try to be there 1 hour before the start so you'll be involved in this "game" and became an active part of it...

So, here we go again! This is a view of Via Layetana from Carrer Magdalenes, the pinck arrow points at the street my offis is, Carrer Jonqueres...in these days I feel a little lazy and I look forward for spring to come...with its colours, its sunny warmy days and with the opening of beache chiringuitos (nice bars along the city beaches with music and cool relaxed atmosphere). On March I'm moving to another flat, with my friend Maria and another friend of mine Svantje, from Germany...I'm going to live in a penthouse with two huge terrases one facing the sea and the other at Tibidabo hill...it will be great...I'll have a bigger bed room and a small studio whith a guardrobe just for me...I'm looking forward for it even if i don't like to having to move all my things again...and my flatmates, Jordan and Alessandro are really nice...anyway I'm sure it's the best move I can do! Love and hugs to everyone!

...and walking on you see the walls of the Archivo Historico, the Federis Mares Museum, that has a beautifull clauster, with a fountain and a tree in the middle. On spring and summer you can spend a nice time in it because they place a bar there...it's really nice. A candle light, fairy tale atmosphere, really romantic!

...After walking across Plaça Sant Jaume I take this small, quite narrow street, Carrer de la Llibreteria. Is full of small shops from trendy to alternative, old books and stamps to toys and maks or candles. The atmosphere of this street is warm and I feel like I make part of it since always...There's a real nice old shop for those who love sweing or costumize their own clothes, you can find a nice present for your mom or granny...I like watching at its windows, is colorfull and brings to my mind images of a world of tradition and handmade day to day life...

Another blink to musicians manifestation. Here they complain about music discrimination...why classical music is allowded and samba or tribal are not? Who says what art is? what is and does culture and what not?
Posted by Hello

NEW LAW FOR MUSICIANS: 1) Musicians can't play more then 28 hours in a week 2) They just can play 4 hours in a day 3) They can play just 2 times in the same place 3) No trumpets, percussions or didjeridoos allowded! THE DEATH OF CULTURE! And behind there was a group of young people playing bossanova and dancing, all around people of all ages were listening and amusing themselves...it was so cool...another usless, fool law!

My Barcelona Chapter 3: Last Saturday was a great party all around the city because it was the last week-end of carnival. As you can see in my street too they made a small, funny parade...drums, trumpets, desguises everywhere...it was nice! Anyway my carnival party will probably take place next saturday...it's the b-day of a friend and I hope she still want's to make a desguised party! I love it!!!! I'll probably dress up as a japanese ninja puppet....red and black of course....anyway, last saturday I also saw musicians playing in the street against a law about playing music in the street...

My Barcelona, Chapter 2: Plaça Sant Jaume. So this is plaça San Jaume. The building you can see here is the Palau De l'Ajuntament de Barcelona. I cross this street nearly every morning and I really like it...atually my favourite "barrios" are the barrio gotico ( this one), el born and parc, near Ciudadella parc...maybe I'll move there in a few monthes...I don't know but I'd love to....El Raval (on the right side of las Ramblas coming from plaça Catalunya) also has its charm...even sometimes it is said that can be dangerous, most of all late at night...in all this places there are a lot of shops, bars, night clubs to discover and while roaming around you can hear a lot of different langages, from catalan to thai, from spanish to russian, passing through italian (of course) and german or american...you can also hear a lot of arabic, especially en barrio Gotic or Raval...

And this is me in a moment of full, total, wonderful relax...it seems that i fell asleep whilw watching a movie with my flat mate...this is the nemesis for showing worldwile Gabriel throwing up after a party...but that's the charm of having friends, you can trust them!!!!
Posted by Hello

So, this is PlaÇa San Miquel, behind PlaÇa San Jaume...Here there's a nice tapas bar (tapas are tipicall small plates of things to pick before real meal) call El Paraigua (The Umbrella), because it used to be an umbrella shop once. The tapa I love the most is chipirrones (small chopped and fried pulp) and the classic patatas bravas (fried potatoes with spicy sauce)...I like this square because is mostly sunny and there is a little kids playground an the corner near the phone...I use to play there wit friends sometime when I go out late at night...it's really amusing, especially the rolling cups...they're like aluminium bowls you must sit in...

So, hi everybody, and especially you...this is my first real-life photo live from the moment...you may recognize him, this is my friend and colleague Gabriel...yes, the one you can see cheering(may I say so???) in a picture of the party we went to last friday...he's cute, isn't he????

On Friday 29 of Jannuary me and my friend Gabriel, who works with me, went to a party in Gracía, a nice neighbourhood of Barcelona. The party was organized by some friends from the Digital Arts Master me and Gabriel did in 2001/2002...it was an 80's party, with a lot of nice people and we had real fun! Unfortunatly Gabriel got sick in the end, but I promised him I won't show thw picture I took of him hugging the wc...
